Are group buys and pooled orders safe?

A group buy pools money so a volunteer organizer places one large order, then splits and reships it. That adds two risks on top of buying solo. The organizer is a stranger. You send money over Discord or a forum with no escrow and no buyer protection. If they vanish or short you, there's little recourse. The GLP-1 Forum group-buy threads are full of people who paid in and got nothing. Repackaging also breaks verification. It cuts the link between the vial you receive and the original batch certificate of analysis, so you can't confirm what's in it.
