How long is a reconstituted peptide stable?
Once reconstituted, a peptide is far less stable than the dry powder. General handling guidance is to keep the solution refrigerated at 2–8°C and use it within a few weeks; for longer holds, store it frozen (−20°C or −80°C) in a suitable sterile buffer. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles, which can disrupt the peptide and reduce activity — dividing a stock solution into single-use aliquots before freezing prevents this. Minimize exposure to light and air. Actual stability varies by sequence (some are much more labile), so treat these as general material-handling guidelines, not a guarantee for any specific compound.
